Job Title: Director Transport Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Director Transport Planner to lead our transportation planning team in the United Kingdom. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technically challenging transport planning projects, managing a small team, and developing business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transportation planning team in delivering projects on time and to budget.
  • Develop and implement transportation planning strategies to meet client needs.
  • Manage and develop the skills of team members to ensure they have the necessary expertise to deliver high-quality projects.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to deliver quality evidence-led reports.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and statutory consultees.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices to ensure the team is equipped to deliver innovative solutions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in transportation planning, with a strong understanding of the UK transport planning industry and the UK planning system.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present information to clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other disciplines and offices to deliver projects.
  • Knowledge of current design guides, such as Manual for Streets and DMRB.
