Job Title: Director of Programme Management

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Programme Management to join our team at New Start. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our transport strategy, ensuring that our borough remains a vibrant and connected community.

About the Role:

The Director of Programme Management will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing our transport strategy, ensuring that it aligns with our borough's vision and goals
  • Leading a team of programme managers to deliver key projects and programmes, including infrastructure development, transportation planning, and public realm improvements
  • Collaborating with stakeholders, including residents, businesses, and community groups, to ensure that our transport strategy meets their needs and expectations
  • Managing budgets and resources to ensure that our transport strategy is delivered on time and within budget
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of our transport strategy, making recommendations for improvement

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Extensive experience in programme management, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects and programmes
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
  • Knowledge of transportation planning and infrastructure development, with a strong understanding of the latest trends and technologies
