Job Title: Commercial Legal Counsel

Job Summary:

Our client, a leading professional services firm, is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Legal Counsel to join their team in Belfast. As a key member of the procurement team, you will play a critical role in negotiating vendor contracts on a global basis, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and managing legal risks associated with procurement activities across the firm's global operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate and draft procurement contracts with vendors to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Manage legal risks associated with procurement activities, including contract review and negotiation, and provide guidance on compliance matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
  • Provide expert advice on commercial law and procurement matters to support the company's global operations.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of PQE commercial experience at a reputable firm or similar in-house role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial law and procurement practices.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
