Role Overview

The Telegraph Magazine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Editor to join its award-winning team. As a key member of the editorial department, you will be responsible for commissioning and editing long-form features, interviews, and news features that showcase the best of The Telegraph's journalism.

With a strong background in commissioning content across various genres, you will have a keen eye for spotting compelling stories and a talent for nurturing relationships with writers and publicists. Your ability to think creatively and work collaboratively with the team will be essential in delivering high-quality content that meets the high standards of The Telegraph.

Key Responsibilities
  • Commission and edit long-form features, interviews, and news features that showcase The Telegraph's journalism
  • Develop and maintain relationships with writers, publicists, and other industry professionals to secure exclusive content
  • Work closely with the editorial team to plan and execute content strategies that meet the needs of The Telegraph's audience
  • Collaborate with the design and production teams to ensure that all content is visually appealing and meets the high standards of The Telegraph
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure that The Telegraph's content remains relevant and engaging
Requirements
  • Proven experience in commissioning and editing long-form content
  • Strong relationships with writers, publicists, and other industry professionals
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
