Job Title: Senior Editor - Long Reads
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Editor to join our team at the Telegraph Magazine. As a Senior Editor, you will be responsible for commissioning and editing long-form features, interviews, and news features. You will work closely with our editorial team to identify and develop compelling stories that resonate with our audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Commission and edit long-form features, interviews, and news features, including fixing interviews across all subject areas.
- Oversee the regular production of high-quality long reads for print and digital platforms.
- Develop a stream of fresh new ideas for our intelligent and affluent demographic.
Requirements:
- Very strong experience in commissioning content across newsroom genres.
- Digital knowledge and the ability to think in a 360-degree way.
- The ability to commission and edit long-form copy that resonates with our audience.
- The ability to work with both seasoned writers and nurture upcoming writers.
- A voracious appetite for reading widely across print, digital, and social media to identify compelling stories.
