Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Mental Health Nurse to join our Specialist Dementia and Frailty Team at Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based care to patients with dementia and frailty.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and reviews of care in line with mental health care clusters.
  • Develop and implement packages of care based on individual service user needs, under the guidance of the Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
  • Supervise and manage junior team members within your professional group and team locality.
  • Collaborate with key partner organisations, service users, carers, clinicians, and other practitioners to deliver services.
  • Work collaboratively to provide a 7-day a week, 24-hours a day service for 365 days a year.
Requirements
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
  • Experience in performance management and supervision of lower-banded staff.
  • Understanding of health legislation, principles of CPA and Care Management, Mental Capacity Act, Mental Health Act 1983, safeguarding, and risk assessment/management.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to work with various software applications.
  • Flexible approach to work and ability to travel across sites and Trust boundaries.
Person Specification
  • Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) qualification.
  • Experience in performance management and supervision of lower-banded staff.
  • Understanding of multi-agency working and health legislation.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.
