We are a welcoming, traditional pub at the heart of the local community, known for our friendly atmosphere, great food, and fantastic customer service. We are seeking a proactive and reliable Team Leader to join our close-knit team and ensure the smooth running of the pub.

Role Overview

As Team Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pub, ensuring excellent service, supporting the team, and maintaining a safe and secure environment. You will play a key role in making sure The Countryman Inn continues to be a popular and well-loved venue for locals and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in staff training, ensuring the team understands their roles and responsibilities.
  • Manage daily operational tasks, including opening and closing the pub.
  • Handle cash and balance tills, maintaining financial accuracy.
  • Ensure the security of the premises, including locking up the pub at the end of shifts.
  • Assist with stock management, including stock takes and ordering supplies when necessary.
  • Address customer queries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service during peak times.
  • Ensure health, safety, and hygiene regulations are followed at all times.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a hospitality or pub environment.
