Production Team Leader

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that products are manufactured to specification, maintaining the correct quality standard.
- Ensure that all required documentation and paperwork are completed and maintained to the required standard.
- Meet manufacturing targets and report any conditions that prevent targets from being achieved.
- Follow the production schedule and agree any deviations with the Planner/Shift Controller.
- Organize staff and resources to meet targets.
- Maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
- Ensure that the team operates in a safe manner, in accordance with the company's Health & Safety procedures.
- Report equipment failures to ensure timely resolution.
- Identify and report under-performing personnel to the Shift Controller.
- Reduce waste and ensure that all re-work is dealt with on the day of manufacture.
- Liaise with the Shift Controller to ensure all responsibilities are met.
- Collect all personal protective equipment at shift end and ensure operators are cleaned down ready for handover.
- Possesses Basic Food Hygiene certification.
- Able to use IT reporting systems.
- Understands the company's Health & Safety policy.
Shifts are generally rotating, with flexibility required.
The salary is £13.10 per hour, with overtime paid at 1.25 during the week and 1.5 at weekends.
