Production Team Leader / Production Supervisor Role and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure that products are manufactured to specification, maintaining the correct quality standard.
  2. Ensure that all required documentation and paperwork are completed and maintained to the required standard.
  3. Meet manufacturing targets and report any conditions that prevent targets from being achieved.
  4. Follow the production schedule and agree any deviations with the Planner/Shift Controller.
  5. Organize staff and resources to meet targets.
  6. Maintain Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
  7. Ensure that the team operates in a safe manner, in accordance with the company's Health & Safety procedures.
  8. Report equipment failures to ensure timely resolution.
  9. Identify and report under-performing personnel to the Shift Controller.
  10. Reduce waste and ensure that all re-work is dealt with on the day of manufacture.
  11. Liaise with the Shift Controller to ensure all responsibilities are met.
  12. Collect all personal protective equipment at shift end and ensure operators are cleaned down ready for handover.
Production Team Leader / Production Supervisor Key Skills Required
  1. Possesses Basic Food Hygiene certification.
  2. Able to use IT reporting systems.
  3. Understands the company's Health & Safety policy.

Shifts are generally rotating, with flexibility required.

The salary is £13.10 per hour, with overtime paid at 1.25 during the week and 1.5 at weekends.
