About the Role
The Fashion Retail Academy (FRA) is a pioneer in Higher Education, renowned for its innovative approach to fashion business education. Our accelerated degree programmes are unique in the UK, delivered over 2 years with industry placement and mentoring opportunities.
We are seeking a Senior Lecturer to join our Higher Education team, responsible for planning, organising, and delivering exceptional teaching activities for their module. The successful candidate will ensure every student receives the highest quality teaching, learning, and feedback, preparing them for roles in the fashion industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on the delivery and creation of industry-relevant module content, aligned with course and programme objectives.
- Work with the Course Leader to monitor and report module progress, initiating recommendations for improvement.
- Adopt excellent teaching, learning, and monitoring practices, role-modeling these and sharing knowledge within the team.
About You
- You will have a BA/BSc (Hons) Degree in Fashion Business, Buying and Merchandising, Retail, or Management, or a related subject, with comparable CPD.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification, such as a PhD/MA/PGCHE, would be beneficial.
- A PG CERT in HE Teaching is essential.
- You will have a proven track record in teaching or training, preferably in higher education.
- The ideal candidate will be a subject specialist, passionate about delivering a highly industry-relevant and student-centred curriculum.
- Strong people skills, with the ability to lead, motivate, and collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective development and delivery of the module.
- Creative and enthusiastic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- An innovative and open-minded approach to curriculum design and development.
- Outstanding current knowledge of the subject area and the fashion retail landscape.
- Passionate about driving excellence, including student experience.
