Premier Recruitment Group is collaborating with a reputable organization to find a Technical Installation Engineer to enhance their workforce. This role offers a full-time, permanent position with significant opportunities for internal advancement.

  • Location: Field-based role covering London and the Home Counties.

Position Overview

As a primarily field-based engineer, you will be tasked with the installation, servicing, and maintenance of vehicle CCTV and safety systems across various commercial vehicles. Hands-on experience with HGVs, light commercial vehicles, and specialized vehicles is essential.

Travel is a component of this role, with a company vehicle and fuel card provided. We offer a competitive salary along with excellent potential for overtime earnings.

  • Traveling to diverse client locations and engaging with clients on-site
  • Installation of vehicle camera and CCTV systems
  • Implementation of blind spot detection systems, including warning alarms and parking sensors
  • Responding to service calls for fault diagnosis and repairs as needed
  • Collaborating with the Development Team to test and deploy new technologies

Required Experience

  • Experience with HGV/LGV/VAN and a passion for working with vehicles
  • Familiarity with a variety of commercial vehicles is advantageous (including construction, commercial haulage, bus & coach, emergency response, etc.)
  • Strong customer service skills are crucial due to daily client interactions
  • Understanding of intermediate to advanced automotive electronic components
  • Proficient in logical and fault-finding techniques, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Experience using electrical automotive testing and installation equipment
  • IT and PC literate
  • A dedicated professional who is organized and committed to working collaboratively to achieve high standards

Qualifications and Education

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in automotive electrical systems or relevant auto electrical qualifications for 12VDC or 24VDC systems
  • A full UK driver's license is essential (preferably clean)
  • Field-based work with flexible hours considered
  • Relevant auto electrician qualifications (e.g., NVQ, City and Guilds) are advantageous
