Core Linux Engineer

Quant Capital is seeking a highly skilled Core Linux Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our quantitative trading firm, you will be responsible for designing and building a best-in-class platform that powers our complex proprietary trading systems.

About the Role

We are looking for a talented individual with a strong background in STEM education, preferably Computer Science. You will have a deep understanding of operating systems, predominantly Linux, and be comfortable with modern Linux and programming concepts such as C, sockets, and virtual memory.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing Linux systems architecture
  • Developing and maintaining complex trading systems
  • Collaborating with the team to automate processes and reduce human error
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest Linux and programming technologies
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong background in STEM education, preferably Computer Science
  • Deep and fundamental knowledge of operating systems, predominantly Linux
  • Experience with Linux systems design and development
  • Understanding of networking protocols
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Go, Python, Rust, or Java
