Position Overview

Mondrian Alpha, a prominent multi-strategy investment firm, is in search of a seasoned Linux Systems Architect to enhance their technical team.

This role is pivotal as a hands-on technical leader within a quantitative engineering group responsible for the firm's advanced trading and research infrastructure. The team is tasked with the design and maintenance of the organization’s most extensive computing resources, which encompass operating system platforms, software development tools, high-performance computing, networking, and storage solutions for both research and trading activities.

As a Linux Systems Architect, you will engage in a diverse array of technological projects within a distributed computing framework, primarily concentrating on Linux-based systems. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Designing and implementing workload scheduling systems.
  2. Managing fleet operations effectively.
  3. Designing and operating clustered file systems.
  4. Overseeing software design and the software development life cycle (SDLC).
  5. Tuning kernel and network performance to achieve low-latency and high-throughput for applications.
  6. Collecting metrics and conducting data mining analysis.
