Adult Safeguarding Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Adult Safeguarding Practitioner to join our Safeguarding Team at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safeguarding agenda is embedded throughout the organisation.
Key Responsibilities- Support the safeguarding agenda through the Trust, utilising a governance framework to ensure safeguarding is embedded as a fundamental principle and is seen as core business.
- Communicate the message that safeguarding is 'everyone's responsibility' and promote awareness and support staff in all aspects of safeguarding work.
- Work with the Named Nurse to provide assurance that the Trust is meeting its statutory safeguarding duties, including the Health & Social Care Act 2008, Care Act 2014, and Care Quality Commission Core Standards.
- Provide expert advice, support, and guidance to staff on all aspects of safeguarding matters, including Safeguarding Adults, Mental Capacity, and Best Interest decision making.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care and interventions using advanced adult safeguarding knowledge and legal frameworks.
- Collaborate with external partners and local authority Safeguarding Teams to ensure effective communication and interagency working.
- Support the development of policy, procedures, and processes related to safeguarding adults.
