About the Role

As an Operational Excellence Lead at Amazon UK Services Ltd., you will play a key role in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency. You will lead a large and diverse team to ensure that your area of the business remains competitive and aligned with customer demands.

In this hands-on role, you will gain experience in analyzing complex business operations and implementing process improvements to drive productivity and quality. You will work closely with your colleagues to address challenges and develop solutions that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a Culture of Excellence: Foster a culture of safety, wellbeing, and continuous improvement within your team.
  • Analyze and Improve Processes: Analyze performance metrics and implement corrective actions to ensure quality and productivity are consistently high.
  • Lead and Develop a Team: Support and lead a team, handle administrative work, and build a strong team culture.
  • Drive Process Improvements: Analyze performance and suggest process improvements to optimize work and improve customer service.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Collaborate with other managers to standardize shift processes and drive business excellence.
A Day in the Life

You will work shifts and be based at one of our operational sites. Your main focus will be to maintain standards within your team and across your site. You will also monitor and maintain process efficiency.

As a key member of the operations team, you will work with colleagues in other teams and external partners to ensure we meet customer demands and targets. This will involve analyzing data and performance metrics with leaders in your business area, as well as discussing operational pros and cons of technical improvements with engineers.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree (or working towards a bachelor's degree) in a relevant field.
  • Language Skills: Advanced proficiency in written and verbal English and local language.
  • Relevant Experience: Relevant experience in performing data analysis and process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Lean and Six Sigma Experience: Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.
  • Logistical Experience: Experience in a similar logistical working environment.
  • MS Office Skills: Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional environment.
  • Communication Skills: Experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.
