About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Supervisor to join our Market Abuse Surveillance team at the Financial Conduct Authority. As a Senior Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of our financial markets by detecting and preventing market abuse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Secondary Market Oversight Department's market abuse surveillance activities, including leading visits to firms and trading venues to assess their market abuse surveillance arrangements.
  • Work with other FCA teams to assess new trading venues and benchmark applications to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Analyze internal surveillance data to identify potential market abuse and refer suspicious activity to relevant FCA teams for review.
  • Contribute to the development of internal market abuse surveillance systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Liaise with industry participants, including delivering presentations and written communications to highlight market abuse surveillance issues.
  • Provide input into proposed policy initiatives related to market abuse surveillance.
