In light of ongoing growth, they are seeking a Logistics Operations Supervisor to oversee and manage alternating day and late shifts.

This is a full-time, permanent role, operating on a 2-week alternating schedule of day and late shifts.

The Logistics Operations Supervisor will serve as a key holder, responsible for securing the premises, overseeing operational activities, managing inventory, and ensuring the well-being of a team of 5 members.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, guiding the shift to meet targets, demonstrating confidence in leadership, and being willing to assist with order picking and packing as necessary.

Logistics Operations Supervisor - Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently prepare the team for each shift, delegating tasks appropriately and managing pick waves.
  • Compile packing lists in accordance with customer specifications, documenting all pallets and couriers utilized.
  • Ensure proper palletization of shipments, adhering to relevant height and size standards for transport readiness.
  • Verify stock counts and ensure orders are prepared according to established guidelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shift.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including printing additional labels for units, boxes, or pallets as required for each shipment.
  • Operate within agreed KPIs for packing speed, ensuring all shipments are finalized within a designated timeframe.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm that orders are packed in compliance with training standards.
  • Address inquiries related to stock discrepancies, escalating issues to senior management when additional stock is needed.
  • Be proactive in picking and packing orders, prioritizing Premium Shipping and Key Client orders as necessary.
  • Collaborate with senior management for comprehensive shift handovers.
Logistics Operations Supervisor – Requirements

  • Ideally, candidates should have experience as a Warehouse or Stock Control Manager/Supervisor.
  • Proven track record of managing site operations and personnel.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to identify and implement improvements for operational efficiency.
  • Bendi & HLOP licenses are advantageous.
The Logistics Operations Supervisor position offers a competitive salary of £28,000 - £30,000 along with benefits. The successful candidate will work a shift pattern of alternating day and late shifts. This is a full-time, permanent role, based with our client.
