We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Support Worker to join our LGBT+ Supported Housing Services team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support to LGBT+ individuals living in our specialist housing. Your primary focus will be on empowering clients to achieve their goals and aspirations, while promoting independent living skills and training/education opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement support plans with clients, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
- Provide effective support to clients in areas such as tenancy management, independent living skills, and training/education.
- Contribute to risk assessment and safeguarding plans, ensuring the well-being and safety of clients.
- Work closely with the Housing Team to ensure residents comply with occupancy agreements.
- Link clients with appropriate support services and sustain engagement with services.
We are looking for a candidate with experience in support, supported housing, or advice services. You should have a drive for equal rights and diversity, as well as knowledge of the issues confronting vulnerable homeless people. A client-centred approach, flexibility, and creativity are essential for this role. If you are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of LGBT+ individuals, we encourage you to apply.
