Fuel Quality Manager

Job Summary:

Astute People is seeking a highly skilled Fuel Quality Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of fuel supply agreements, conduct supplier visits and audits, and support the Operations Team in monitoring and reporting non-conforming waste/fuel quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation of fuel supply agreements, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Conduct regular supplier visits, audits, and inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Support the Operations Team in monitoring and reporting non-conforming waste/fuel quality, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor samples for compliance with Calorific Value and REGOs, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Coordinate fuel delivery schedules and manage logistics when the plant is offline, minimizing disruptions and ensuring seamless operations.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Waste Management qualification such as WAMITAB or COTC preferred.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
  • Experience with Fuel Supply Agreements or Contracts.
  • Strong contract and commercial management skills, including bids and KPI monitoring.
  • Knowledge of the UK Waste Market and related policies/legislation.
