Position Overview

Job Title: Clinical Negligence Team Supervisor
Location: Remote with occasional travel

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Negligence Team Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional legal services. This role involves effective resource management and fostering the professional growth of team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the implementation of Clinical Negligence procedures and workflows.
  • Directly manage and supervise team members alongside the Head of Department.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to support team communication and development.
  • Perform necessary file reviews to ensure compliance and quality.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including data accuracy, productivity levels, and financial targets.
  • Assist in preparing monthly billing forecasts and departmental budgets.
  • Contribute to departmental projects aimed at enhancing system efficiency and management information.
  • Maintain a manageable caseload while supervising daily operations.
  • Address and resolve client complaints in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Facilitate peer review sessions and supervision meetings.
  • Support the Head of Department with various projects as needed.
  • Authorize the initiation of legal proceedings and manage team expenditures.
  • Keep the risk register updated for the team.
  • Engage in business development activities, including content creation and identifying new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to identify training needs for team members.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Experience in civil law, with a preference for Clinical Negligence.
  • Management experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to interact with clients in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Proven capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly with case management systems.
  • Excellent listening skills and a cooperative approach.
