We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Support Worker to join our team at Minerva, a leading provider of healthcare services. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting young people who have experienced homelessness, substance abuse, self-harm, mental health issues, or are leaving care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish positive relationships with young people and support them to create a safe home environment.
  • Provide holistic support to young people, ensuring their needs are met and their support plans are implemented.
  • Work alongside the Housing Worker to provide practical and hands-on support with budgeting, cooking, cleaning, and running a home.
  • Support the Housing Worker to ensure accommodation is well-maintained and safe for young people to live in.
  • Support young people to transition into independent living, helping them to maintain their tenancy and develop the confidence and skills required to live independently.
  • Ensure a coordinated approach is adapted to provide young people with opportunities to develop skills and knowledge and work as part of a team to carry out day-to-day tasks.
  • Record, respond to, and action young people's ideas, thoughts, and feedback.
  • Support and engage young people to be good neighbors and assist in the resolution of neighborhood disputes.
Requirements
  • 1 year's experience of working with young people in supported housing or community-based support or a similar environment.
  • Valid Driver's License and vehicle.
  • Understanding and knowledge of homelessness, mental health, and substance use.
