Community Care Department Overview:The Community Care department specializes in ensuring that individuals receive the necessary care and support within their homes or through institutional services. We advocate for the rights of vulnerable populations, ensuring they have access to the care they deserve.
Our dedicated team of specialists possesses extensive knowledge and experience in Community Care law, enabling us to provide exceptional legal assistance. We are one of the few firms with a Legal Aid Agency franchise for Community Care work, allowing us to serve both publicly and privately funded clients effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Directly report to the department Director.
- Maintain a professional and proactive approach, demonstrating strong client care skills and a compassionate understanding of client needs.
- Oversee all aspects of Community Care legal work, providing guidance and expertise to team members as necessary.
- Uphold the rights of vulnerable children and young people with a solid commitment.
- Manage and supervise Solicitors, Trainee Solicitors, and Caseworkers, ensuring appropriate caseload management.
- Handle correspondence and maintain accurate time costing procedures.
- Implement recommendations from monthly file reviews promptly.
- Ensure compliance with file management protocols.
- Engage in a variety of duties related to Community Care matters, including health and social care judicial reviews and ancillary applications.
- Participate in Business Development and Marketing initiatives to support the firm's substantial workload.
- A valid Practicing Certificate is required at the time of application.
- A committed team player who adapts well to new challenges.
- Proven supervisory experience with a focus on key performance indicators.
- Professional demeanor with excellent client care skills, capable of handling sensitive matters effectively.
- Strong networking and communication abilities to successfully market the firm and generate new business.
- Exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.
- Familiarity with publicly funded Community Care work and the capacity to manage privately funded cases.
- Extensive experience in Wills & Probate related work is advantageous.
- Proficiency in IT, particularly with Microsoft Office applications and document management systems.
