We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team in the Engineering, Construction, and Power division of Allianz. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out inspections and assessments of plant and equipment across various locations, including factories, warehouses, and commercial premises.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough inspections of plant and equipment to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Prepare detailed reports of examination following inspections, using electronic reporting to ensure fast and efficient delivery to clients.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of all relevant compliance and regulatory rules and procedures related to the Pressure Mechanical discipline.
- Effectively plan and manage short, medium, and long-term tasks, including diarising meetings, visits, and work allocation.
- Travel to various locations within your allocated work area to carry out inspections and assessments.
- Minimum level 3 qualification in a relevant engineering subject, ideally Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of steam generation, compressed air, and associated plant, with experience in manufacturing (QA and production), maintenance, and operation, repair, and site inspection.
- Excellent customer interaction skills, including good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Comfortable using tablets and smartphones as part of your working day.
- Competitive salary range of £41,436 to £52,075, depending on experience and location.
- Incremental salary increases for the first 2 years while developing in the role.
