About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Manager to join our team as a key support to the Chief Executive Officer. This is a critical role that will play a fundamental part in ensuring the effective operation of the Chief Executive's Office.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal support to the Chief Executive Officer, identifying issues that require attention, and acting as a key channel for communication between the CEO, Executive Directors, and other stakeholders.

This is a key role in the effective running of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, and we are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative, demonstrate high levels of integrity, innovation, and commitment to the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal support to the Chief Executive Officer, including managing their diary, correspondence, and other administrative tasks.
  • Identify issues that require attention and escalate them to the Chief Executive Officer or other relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as a key channel for communication between the Chief Executive Officer, Executive Directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Work closely with the Chief Business Officer to achieve the organisation's corporate business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, including Executive Directors, colleagues, and external partners.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of business case procedures, range of computerised software, managerial knowledge, project monitoring, acquired through degree or equivalent experience plus further training and experience to post graduate diploma level equivalent.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Awareness of policies and procedures relating to dealing with confidential data both personal and organisational.
  • Working knowledge of filing/data systems including records management.
  • Evidence of continuing professional development.
  • Experience of dealing with confidential and sensitive data and appropriate maintenance and storage of records.
  • Experience of monitoring performance indicators.
