Main Responsibilities:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Advanced Respiratory Physiologist to enhance our dynamic Cardio-Respiratory department. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Conducting and interpreting a comprehensive range of physiological assessments related to respiratory function, sleep studies, and oesophageal evaluations.
- Providing exceptional patient care to both in-patients and out-patients.
- Collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including medical and nursing staff.
- Demonstrating strong organizational skills, multitasking abilities, and the capacity to prioritize effectively.
- Assuming leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Lead Respiratory Physiologist.
Qualifications and Experience:
Essential:
- A minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience as a Specialist Respiratory Physiologist, with extensive knowledge in lung function and sleep diagnostics.
- BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology (Respiratory Function) or equivalent experience.
- Registered member of the Registration Council for Clinical Physiology.
- Immediate Life Support certification.
Desirable:
- MSc in Respiratory Physiology or equivalent experience supported by specialized training.

- High level of concentration required for interpreting test data accurately.
- Expertise in collaborating with medical colleagues regarding patient referrals and testing appropriateness.
Physical Requirements:
Essential:
- Ability to assist patients with mobility challenges.
- Capability to operate and maneuver medical equipment effectively.
- Physical stamina to perform respiratory maneuvers as part of patient care.
