Job Summary:

Sterling Cross Careers is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team at a leading Ascot special education school. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting autistic children and young people to lead a holistic, fulfilling school life and feel readily prepared and inspired for the future ahead.

About the Role:

This is a permanent, part-time position, term-time only – 2 days per week, 39 weeks per year. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and delivering therapeutic interventions for pupils and their families that support them with their mental health and to overall become and stay excited about learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and develop therapeutic plans for pupils with ASC-associated specialist learning needs
  • Deliver individual and group therapeutic interventions to support pupils' mental health and well-being
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support system for pupils
  • Conduct regular progress reviews and adjust therapeutic plans as needed
  • Participate in staff training and development to enhance knowledge and skills in supporting pupils with ASC

Person Specification:

  • (Essential) HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical Psychologist modality)
  • (Desirable) Evidence of experience and professional development within mental health services for children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions (ASC, ADHD, learning disabilities), ideally including team leadership and service development
  • (Desirable) Membership of the BPS and/or ACP
