Job Title: Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Black Fox Solutions is seeking a talented Graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our commercial management team, you will be responsible for delivering commercial management services for individual projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental Management
  • Assist the Senior QS with all commercial issues within the project(s)
  • Foster a culture of commercial awareness within the team
  • Ensure adherence to group procedures and governance
  • Delegate appropriate tasks to junior staff while maintaining accountability
  • Prepare internal commercial reports and other required documentation
  • Prepare Valuations/Applications for payment with full supporting documentation in line with the contract
  • Prepare Cost Reports for the client with contractually compliant documentation
  • Manage subcontract and material procurement schedules
  • Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts from requisitions to payment authorisation and final accounts
  • Conduct contract administration, including change management and maintaining registers
  • Identify commercial risks, opportunities, value engineering, and change
  • Manage cost control and cost mitigation
  • Maintain accurate site records
  • Implement a WBS structure to meet client and contract requirements
  • Assist in preparing the Cost to Complete and Risk Analysis Register for the project(s)
  • Prepare change events, extension of time claims, final accounts, etc.
  • Measure quantities according to standard methods of measurement as required
  • Manage client relationships effectively
  • Maximise cash position, including WIP control, cash flow production, and improvement plans
  • Assist in producing the margin improvement plan for the project
