About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Podiatrist to join our team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with moderate and high-risk podiatric problems in a variety of settings.

Main Responsibilities

Providing efficient and effective treatment to patients in different settings, including community and acute settings.

Developing and implementing individual care plans for patients with a wide range of clinical needs.

Managing a caseload of patients with specialist care needs, with a focus on patient empowerment and independence.

Working autonomously and as part of a team to provide high-quality care and services.

Person Specification

  • Relevant diploma or degree in Chiropody or Podiatric Medicine from a recognized institution.
  • Continued registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.
  • Certificate in local anaesthesia.

  • Prescribing for Podiatrists.
  • Diploma in Diabetes Care.
  • Health Education Certificate.
  • Teachers Certificate.
  • Preparation for Mentoring Course.
  • Radiology and Diagnostic Skills.
  • Shoe Fitting Skills.
  • ECDL European Computer Driving Licence.
  • Clinical Educator qualification.
