About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Podiatrist to join our team at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with moderate and high-risk podiatric problems in a variety of settings.

Main Responsibilities

• Provide efficient and effective treatment to patients in different settings, including community and acute settings.

• Develop and implement individual care plans for patients with a wide range of clinical needs, including high-risk and moderate-level patients.

• Manage an individual caseload and commit to the philosophy of care, emphasizing patient empowerment and independence through education and support.

• Provide services at various sites, including patients' homes, clinics, GP practices, community hospitals, and challenging conditions, often working independently.

Person Specification

• Relevant diploma/degree in Chiropody/Podiatric Medicine from a recognized institution and previous accumulated postgraduate experience.

• Continued registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.

• Certificate in local anesthesia.

• Prescribing for Podiatrists

• Diploma in Diabetes Care

• Health Education Certificate

• Teachers Certificate

• Preparation for Mentoring Course

• Radiology and Diagnostic Skills

• Shoe Fitting Skills

• ECDL European Computer Driving Licence

• Clinical Educator qualification

Essential Requirements

• Must hold a current driving license.
