We are currently working with a leading Transport Fuel Supplier who are represented across the UK. As a multi-billion pound organisation, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineering Project Manager to join their business and be a key factor in driving major projects for the upcoming years.
Reporting into the Head of Engineering, as a Senior Project Engineering Manager, you will help formulate and standardise processes across the projects team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in the Oil & Gas, Petroleum, Fuels Sector. You will be responsible for leading and delivering projects within a highly regulated environment, ensuring the adherence to industry standards and government regulations.
The role will require UK travel and will require the management of capital expenditure (Capex) projects with a budget of up to £10 million +.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex engineering projects within the Oil & Gas Sector, from conception to commissioning, ensuring on-time delivery and within allocated resources.
- Develop project plans, including detailed schedules, budgets, and resource allocation. Annual CAPEX spend £10m +
- Oversee and manage the execution of projects, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, requirements, and standards.
- Coordinate activities with internal stakeholders, subcontractors, and third-party entities, fostering effective collaboration to achieve project objectives.
- Take ownership of Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance, implementing and managing Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) processes.
- Manage and control project costs, continuously monitoring budgets, and implementing corrective measures as required.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.
- Utilise effective communication and leadership skills to manage project teams, motivating team members to achieve project milestones.
- Adhere to the principles of Construction Design and Management (CDM) to ensure the safe execution of construction projects.
Requirements:
- Hold a relevant engineering qualification and project management expertise
- Experience of using project management models such as Prince2 etc and software such as Microsoft project required.
- Significant project management experience with ability to manage numerous projects involving stakeholder engagement, budget control, customer outcomes and specified deliverables
- Experience of managing engineering projects within the transport fuel / Oil distribution/ EV or other high hazard sector
- Experience of multi-project delivery within a high-risk profile organisation would be beneficial
- Experience of HSE management systems and permit to work processes and contractor management
- Knowledge and experience of working with CDM 2015 beneficial
