Design Coordinator

Sir Robert McAlpine is seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Manager to join our team. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering technically compliant and cost-efficient design solutions on construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with submissions and ensure that all questions have been answered in full, providing a commercial solution with the best possible chance of success.
- Establish the quality of the design and verify the stage of design development, ensuring compliance with the Employer's Requirements.
- Identify areas where the compliant design could be improved to offer a better value solution.
- Confirm the design is compliant with Statutory Requirements, including Planning Permission, Building Regulations, and CDM regulations.
- Assess the suitability of the proposed design and provide advice on proposed changes.
- Experience of working within the construction industry, specifically on design and build, new build, and refurbishment projects.
- Good knowledge of current CDM and Building Regulations.
- Experience as Design Manager on £100m+ projects.
- Industrial sector experience would be an advantage.
