About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Piling Operations Specialist to join our team at Van Elle, the UK's leading ground engineering and geotechnical contractor. As a Piling Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our piling operations on construction sites, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently and to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the setup and operation of piling rigs and associated equipment.
  • Support the installation of piles as directed by the site supervisor.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and checks on piling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to all health and safety regulations on site.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and report any issues or concerns to the site supervisor.
  • Feedback to site management with near miss/close call reporting.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in piling operations or a related field is essential.
  • Knowledge of piling techniques and equipment is an advantage.
  • A practical hands-on approach.
  • CSCS/CPCS is an advantage but not essential.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Practical, logical, and able to solve problems quickly.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Willingness to work flexibly to support the overall aims of the team and changing priorities.
  • Flexibility to travel around the UK and hold a full UK driver's license.
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary depending on experience.
  • Hours of work are typically 7:30am to 6:00pm Monday to Friday with paid breaks, however flexibility is required.
  • 22 days holiday plus bank/public holidays.
  • Permanent position.
