We are seeking a dedicated professional to take on a pivotal role within the pharmacy education and training division at NHS Scotland. This position involves overseeing the creation, implementation, and administration of educational initiatives for pharmacy support personnel, pre-registration trainee pharmacy technicians, and post-registration pharmacy technicians.

The successful candidate will work closely with a variety of partners, including educational institutions and training providers, to ensure the effective execution of programs such as the National Technical Apprenticeship Training Scheme and the Vocational Training Foundation Pharmacy Technician Programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of pharmacy professionals.
  • Provide mentorship and support to trainees throughout their educational journey.
  • Stay informed about advancements in the pharmacy sector.

Applicants should possess prior experience in primary care, hospital, or community pharmacy environments and must be registered with the GPhC. An assessor qualification recognized by SQA is also essential.

This role is ideal for a pharmacy technician who is passionate about mentoring learners and celebrating their achievements.
