Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Practitioner to join our team at Autism East Midlands. As an Autism Practitioner, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with autism in our services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide holistic support to individuals with autism, including personal care, medication administration, and integration into the local community.
  • Support individuals with autism to develop independent living skills and encourage participation in activities they enjoy.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a positive and supportive environment for individuals with autism.
  • Participate in extensive induction and autism specialist training to develop your skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of individualized support plans and review progress with colleagues and individuals with autism.

Requirements:

  • No experience is necessary, as full training is provided.
  • Previous experience as a support worker, care assistant, nursery assistant, or personal care assistant is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work a rolling rota, including early, late, sleep-ins, weekends, bank holidays, and flexible shift patterns.
