Sphere Solutions is looking for a skilled Lead Civil Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development of wastewater infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will take charge of guiding and supporting site engineering teams, ensuring that all engineering activities align with the established design, timeline, and financial parameters to achieve successful project outcomes.

This position presents a unique chance to engage in impactful wastewater infrastructure initiatives and play a vital role in the ongoing success of our organization.

Technical Leadership:
Provide expert technical direction and oversight throughout all phases of the project, including the formulation of engineering designs, construction strategies, and innovative approaches to overcome project challenges.


Quality Assurance:

Establish and implement comprehensive quality assurance protocols to assess and ensure the quality of workmanship, materials, and construction processes, guaranteeing compliance with project specifications and industry standards.


Risk Assessment:

Proactively identify, evaluate, and address project risks and uncertainties, formulating strategies to mitigate potential impacts on project performance, timelines, and budgets, while ensuring effective risk management practices are in place.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Standards:
Foster a robust culture of health, safety, and environmental responsibility across all project sites, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations, company policies, and industry best practices to maintain a safe and sustainable work environment.

Act as the primary liaison for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, cultivating strong relationships and managing communications to ensure alignment with project goals and deliverables.


Team Development:

Lead, mentor, and guide engineering teams, promoting a collaborative and high-performance culture that encourages innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement, while supporting the professional growth of team members.

Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.

  • A minimum of five years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in wastewater infrastructure and drainage projects, within a contracting context.
  • A proven history of successful project leadership and management, including experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, pipelines, and associated infrastructure.
  • Strong technical acumen in wastewater treatment processes, with the capability to develop and evaluate engineering designs, drawings, and specifications.
