HGV Technician Job Opportunity

Ford and Slater, a leading DAF Truck dealer group, is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to join their team at their Newark depot.

As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide range of trucks and vehicles, including fault diagnostics, MOT preparation, and mechanical and electrical repairs. You will work closely with the team to ensure that all repairs are carried out to the highest standard and in a safe and responsible manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Servicing and maintaining trucks and vehicles
  • Fault diagnostics and repair
  • MOT preparation
  • Mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Ensuring repairs are carried out according to manufacturers procedures
  • Attending technical or development training
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as an HGV Technician or Mechanic
  • Qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or time served HGV Technician
  • Ability to participate in breakdowns
  • Skills to follow company processes for completing all paperwork
  • Full UK driving licence
