Ford & Slater Limited, one of the UK's largest DAF Truck dealers, is seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at our Newark dealership. As a Weekend Shift HGV Technician, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a wide variety of trucks and vehicles, ensuring they are safe and roadworthy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Servicing and maintaining trucks and vehicles to manufacturer's procedures
  • Carrying out safety inspections and preparing vehicles for MOTs
  • Diagnosing faults and ensuring repairs are carried out in a safe and responsible manner
  • Participating in breakdowns and road testing vehicles when required

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working as a Technician/Mechanic within the HGV, Commercial Vehicle, LGV, PSV, Heavy Plant, Car, or an associated sector
  • Qualified to Level 3 (C&G, NVQ, or equivalent) in Commercial Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
  • Excellent technical knowledge and ability to accurately diagnose faults
  • Full UK driving licence
