Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer - Digital Engineering Specialist to join our team at Terry Parris Associates. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative digital engineering solutions for our clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. PCB Design: Design and develop PCB layouts, electrical schematics, and electrical diagrams for our clients' products.
  2. Schematic Entry: Enter schematics from design engineering sketches and ensure accuracy and precision.
  3. 3D Modeling: Create and modify 3D models and assemblies, including piece part information, to support our clients' manufacturing processes.
  4. Quality and Compliance: Ensure adherence to our clients' quality management systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and Health and Safety management systems.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Stay informed and support the implementation of ISO 9001 Quality and ISO 14001 Environmental requirements and improvement activities.
  6. Business Objectives: Commit to achieving our clients' business, quality, and environmental objectives and policies.
  7. Technical Expertise: Possess proven expertise and experience in PCB design (preferably to IPC Standard) and mechanical design, with knowledge of analogue, digital, and surface mount technologies.
  8. Software Proficiency: Be proficient in CAD packages for PCB and mechanical design, including Cadstar, eCadstar, Board Modeller, Inventor, and AutoCAD.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of designing and developing innovative digital engineering solutions.
  • Excellent technical skills and knowledge of PCB design and mechanical design principles.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and environmental regulations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant tools.
