We are seeking a highly experienced Regional Safety Advisor to join our team at MGS - CoSec, Legal, Risk & Compliance. As a key member of our safety team, you will provide expert support to operations on all safety-related matters, ensuring that our company conducts its operations in a safe and effective manner.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide advisory support to Area Operations Managers, General Managers, and Pub Partners on safety and related matters, including food safety, health and safety, licensing, and incident/crisis management.
  2. Share best practices and promote positive safety management at Area and Regional meetings/days in trade with Area and Regional Managers.
  3. Support and coach pubs that receive an EHO Food Hygiene Rating of less than 5 and pubs that fail the safety audit to support and coach the pub team with the corrective action plan and determine if the pub presents an ongoing risk to the business.
  4. Carry out accident/incident investigations for high-risk RIDDOR reportable incidents, liaise with enforcement officers, and investigate insurance claims as directed by the Director of Safety.
  5. Carry out investigations where multiple food poisoning allegations are received, liaise with enforcement officers as directed by the Head of Technical Services – Food & Drink.
  6. Ensure that any unsafe act, condition, or situation that could compromise the business is immediately escalated to the Director of Safety.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in multi-site catering/retail.
  • Previous experience of franchise-style operations would be an advantage.
  • Commercial in outlook and understands the current business challenges within the industry.
  • Ability to influence at all levels both informally and within more formal environments.
  • Ability to project a professional positive presence and an appropriate level of credibility.
  • Eager to undertake personal development, i.e., knowledge of health and safety and food safety.
  • Flexibility to travel. Full driving license.
  • Enthusiastic with a solution-focused attitude.
