Position Overview

The NBI Partnership is seeking a dedicated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to contribute to pioneering research aimed at understanding the genomic and cellular mechanisms of adaptation in vertebrate species facing environmental challenges.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct primary research focused on the genomic and cellular aspects of adaptation.
  • Lead the generation and analysis of genomic, transcriptomic, and epigenomic datasets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve project objectives.
  • Serve as a technical resource for various research initiatives.

Essential Relationships

  • Internal: Collaborate with group leaders, the Director, science faculty, and communication teams.
  • External: Engage with collaborators and stakeholders from academic and industrial sectors.

Main Duties

  • Perform research tasks utilizing molecular biology and bioinformatics methodologies.
  • Develop analytical frameworks for processing omics data.
  • Prepare findings, reports, and manuscripts for scholarly publication.
  • Participate in collaborative research and grant proposal submissions.
  • Present research outcomes at various academic and professional gatherings.
  • Ensure adherence to research integrity and compliance with institutional policies.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Candidate Profile

  • Education: PhD in Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related discipline.
  • Specialized Skills: Proficiency in molecular biology, genomic analysis, Linux, and shell scripting.
  • Experience: Previous involvement in genomics or genetics-related projects.
  • Communication Skills: Strong ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and communicate clearly.
