About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Wellington Barracks, Westminster, SW1E 9EU. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the production of high-quality food, ensuring efficient kitchen operations, and maintaining exceptional standards of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and cooking of meals for 500 people per day, ensuring consistency and quality in line with recipe sheets.
  • Manage food production to minimize waste and maintain optimal food levels throughout service periods.
  • Ensure the maintenance of high hygiene and health and safety standards, identifying any anomalies or incidents and taking corrective action.
  • Collaborate with the line manager to discuss ideas and improvements for kitchen operations and procedures.
  • Act as a trainer and coach for new team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the required standards.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 2 culinary qualification or equivalent.
  • Previous culinary experience at CDP or Sous Chef level.
  • Experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A passion for food and service, with a flexible approach to hours and duties.
