**Job Summary**

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Support Assistant to join our team in Enfield. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome behavioural challenges, ensuring they can achieve their full potential in a supportive environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Supporting the Class Teacher**: Collaborate with the class teacher to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment for all students.
  • **One-on-One Support**: Provide individualized support to students with behavioural needs, helping them to develop essential life skills and achieve academic success.
  • **Behavioural Intervention**: Design and implement behaviour intervention plans to address specific student needs, working closely with the class teacher and other support staff.
  • **Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with other staff members to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies, ensuring a cohesive and supportive team environment.

**Requirements:**

  • **Previous Experience**: Previous experience as a Behaviour Support Assistant or similar role is highly desirable.
  • **Safeguarding Knowledge**: Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
  • **Communication Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • **Patience and Empathy**: Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with children, with the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
