About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Senior Corporate Engagement Manager. This is a unique opportunity to work with a leading food awareness organization, ProVeg International, and contribute to the transformation of the global food system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate engagement strategy to promote ProVeg's mission and values among key stakeholders in the food industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and decision-makers in major food companies, with a focus on retail and foodservice providers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and deliver engaging events, webinars, and workshops that showcase ProVeg's expertise and thought leadership in the field of sustainable food systems.
  • Identify opportunities for ProVeg to add value to existing coalitions and programs focused on the protein transition and develop strategic partnerships to drive progress.
  • Represent ProVeg at industry events and conferences, showcasing the organization's expertise and thought leadership in the field of sustainable food systems.
  • Manage communications with corporate partners and stakeholders, working closely with the B2B comms lead to ensure effective messaging and engagement.
  • Contribute to the development of funding proposals and bids, working closely with the International and UK Development teams to secure support for ProVeg's initiatives.
  • Work closely with the research team to develop insights and reports that inform corporate engagement activities and drive progress towards ProVeg's goals.
  • Collaborate with the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning and Research team to develop tools and assessments to monitor progress towards the protein transition objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant food policy and regulations, working closely with the UK and EU Policy Managers to ensure that ProVeg's corporate engagement strategy is informed by the latest developments.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working in or with the food industry, with a proven track record of driving change and innovation.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to lead and work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
  • Strong relationships with senior executives and decision-makers in major food companies, with a focus on retail and foodservice providers.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop and implement effective solutions to complex challenges.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Passion for and commitment to ProVeg's mission and values, with a strong understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Existing network within the UK food industry, with strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Previous experience of facilitating pre-competitive collaboration between food companies, with a focus on driving innovation and progress.
  • Direct experience of advising companies on sustainability and/or nutrition, with knowledge and understanding of the plant-based food sector.
