POSITION SUMMARY

As a Manufacturing Operations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role within the NOV Hydra Rig production team. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the scheduling and execution of fabrications, assemblies, components, and subcontractor services, ensuring they meet specifications and deadlines.

This position requires a proactive and adaptable individual who can effectively manage Work Breakdown Structures and respond to sales order requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Assistance: Support the development and monitoring of work packs, technical drawings, and documentation; coordinate with suppliers for orders and delivery schedules.
  • Project Management: Interpret production material needs from project documentation and ensure the timely processing of internal work orders.
  • Documentation Oversight: Conduct document control tasks, maintaining accurate and current records in line with site regulations.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in ongoing initiatives to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Effective Communication: Identify and relay any component shortages that may affect production timelines; manage workshop requests.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety and environmental regulations, in line with company policies.
  • Quality Management: Collaborate with engineering and project teams to fulfill business requirements regarding quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Fabrication/Assembly Supervisors and the Production Manager to maintain accurate production schedules and documentation.
  • Policy Compliance: Ensure compliance with all company policies related to data management, health and safety, quality assurance, and workplace organization.
  • Training Engagement: Actively engage in training opportunities to support personal and professional growth aligned with career and organizational objectives.
Required Skills & Experience:

Essential:
  • Ability to quickly acquire and apply new skills in a dynamic environment.

  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to effectively engage with both management and operational staff.

Desirable:
  • GCSE or equivalent qualifications in Mathematics and English.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiations.
  • Familiarity with ISO accreditation standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Technical qualifications (BTEC, HNC, City and Guilds).
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of TeamCentre or similar software.
