Housing Paralegal Role

Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a leading law firm to recruit a dedicated Housing Paralegal for a highly sought permanent position.

The successful candidate will join a well-established Housing team, ranked by The Legal 500 directory for its services across England and Wales. The team provides assistance to both landlords and tenants on all housing issues, with a focus on finding solutions to housing disputes and addressing them quickly and effectively.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with casework, including dealing with public and private housing cases, such as Homelessness, Disrepair, Eviction, Possession, Property Ownership Disputes, Succession for Tenants, and Neighbourhood Problems.
  • Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases.
  • Deal with correspondence and maintain accurate time costing procedures.
  • Implement recommendations made by supervisors following monthly file reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with file management.

Key Skills:

  • Demonstrate passion and experience in a broad range of publicly funded Housing Law.
  • Hold a strong academic background with a Law degree.
  • Have legal experience as a Housing Paralegal/Advisor.
  • Display a clear understanding and application of Housing Laws.
  • Show business acumen and the ability to market the Company.
  • Exhibit excellent communications skills to work effectively with all types of people.
  • Display excellent analytical and organisational skills and the ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance.
  • Be a committed team player, self-motivated, and professional.
  • Have excellent IT Skills, familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills.
