Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to join our team at the Commonwealth of Virginia. As a Medical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the medical and geropsychiatric services at our facility, ensuring the highest level of quality care for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and evaluate the quality of medical and geropsychiatric services
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and implement strategic plans for the facility
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of psychiatric and medical professionals
- Support on-call and holiday coverage as needed
- Graduate of an approved/recognized medical school
- Completed psychiatric residency program
- Licensed to practice in the State of Virginia by the Virginia Board of Medicine
- Federally licensed to prescribe medications
- Certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
- Prior administrative and supervisory experience
- Clinical experience in forensic psychiatry
- Dual certification in psychiatry and geriatrics
