About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Paramedic to join our team at HMP Bristol. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and develop care plans for patients
  • Provide routine healthcare services, including administering medication and performing procedures
  • Work closely with mental health professionals to identify and manage individuals in crisis
  • Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in research, clinical audit, and evaluation of the service
Requirements
  • Recognised higher education qualification in Paramedic Science or a related field
  • NMC or HCPC registration
  • In-depth knowledge of emergency nurse/paramedic-led care and treatments/interventions in a prison environment
  • Emotionally resilient and able to deal with trauma injuries
