We are currently seeking a skilled Planner to join our team on a major project located near Newbury.

Scope:

Responsible for planning and scheduling on this major programme, driving towards the accomplishment of defined goals and objectives. Manage and provide the tools and systems necessary to effectively and proactively manage, control, and report on cost and schedule for concurrent projects throughout this major programme and across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the Programme Schedule, ensuring vertical and horizontal integration of project-level schedules.
  • Establish and ensure consistent application of the planning process to define, maintain, report, and control schedules at all levels of the Programme.
  • Plan, schedule, coordinate, and oversee Project Controls activities at programme level.
  • Identify interfaces and establish performance measurement baselines to record and track progress on schedules, producing progress reports showing variance against the baselines.
  • Support the project month-end reporting process, ensuring timely completion by project teams.
  • Lead and motivate a team of Project Planners, ensuring they possess the required core competencies in planning techniques, providing presentations, coaching, and facilitation in the use of Primavera software.
  • Provide expert input at planning workshops and represent time issues at programme level.
  • Apply critical path and Schedule Risk Analysis.
  • Support Project Managers and Project Planners in schedule development and alignment of scope, time, and cost.
  • Oversee project schedule review meetings, ensuring alignment and consistency with cost management function.
  • Lead the development of work breakdown structures and ensure effective project coding for cornerstone applications.

Requirements:

  • Ideal degree qualification in engineering, construction, business, or a related field, or demonstrated equivalent and related experience.
  • Proven experience with engineering, procurement, and construction projects, ideally in Major Utilities or construction arena, with experience in operating industrial facilities advantageous.
  • Solid and provable experience with cost, schedule, and supervision responsibilities.

Essential Skills:

  • Knowledgeable and experienced in utilizing and administering Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Expert knowledge using Excel.
  • Knowledge and experience utilizing Cost Management Tools (Costpoint, SAP, etc.).
  • Working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications, organizational skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work required.

Must currently hold SC clearance or be prepared to undergo the SC process.
