About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Fitter - Plant and Cable Specialist to join our team at SSE Enterprise. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electricity transmission network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, and busbars, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities and minimize downtime.
  • Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to improve system reliability and reduce costs.
  • Participate in standby duties and respond to faults in a timely and efficient manner.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in electrical maintenance and repair, preferably in a transmission or distribution environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including switchgear, transformers, and busbars.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various locations.
