ROLE SUMMARY

We are in search of a seasoned Senior Medical Writer who will be instrumental in the development, management, and oversight of high-caliber scientific content for a range of clients and medical conditions.

This position demands a robust background in medical writing and editing, a profound comprehension of medical science, and the capability to convey intricate information clearly and effectively to varied audiences.

KEY DUTIES

  • Produce high-quality scientific documents such as manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide presentations. This includes drafting, revising, and finalizing documents, as well as reviewing materials generated by junior team members.
  • Ensure all content is scientifically precise, thoroughly researched, and aligns with the latest clinical data and guidelines while adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Customize content to cater to the needs of different audiences, including healthcare professionals, regulatory authorities, and patients.
  • Oversee multiple writing projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables maintain high quality.
  • Coordinate with team members and delegate tasks, particularly on larger or more complex projects.
  • Collaborate with medical affairs and marketing teams to align content with client objectives and ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior medical writers to enhance their writing capabilities and scientific knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS

ESSENTIAL

  • Advanced Degree: A master's or PhD in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical writing within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sectors.
  • Strong grasp of medical terminology, clinical research/trial science, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in managing writing projects, timelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with document management systems, reference management tools (e.g., EndNote), and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Veeva PromoMats.

PREFERRED

  • Accreditation (e.g., AMWA MWC; ISMPP CMPP).
