ROLE DESCRIPTION

We seek a seasoned Senior Medical Writer who will be instrumental in crafting, managing, and supervising the development of high-caliber scientific materials for a range of clients and medical conditions.

This position demands a robust background in medical writing and editing, comprehensive knowledge of medical science, and the capacity to convey intricate information in a clear and effective manner to varied audiences.

KEY DUTIES

  • Produce high-quality scientific documents including manuscripts, abstracts, posters, and slide presentations. This encompasses drafting, revising, and finalizing documents, as well as reviewing materials prepared by junior team members.
  • Guarantee that all content is scientifically precise, thoroughly researched, and aligns with the latest clinical data and guidelines while adhering to regulatory standards.
  • Customize content to address the needs of different audiences, including healthcare professionals, regulatory agencies, and patients.
  • Oversee multiple writing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and maintaining high-quality deliverables.
  • Coordinate with team members and delegate tasks, particularly for large or intricate projects.
  • Collaborate with medical affairs and marketing teams to ensure content aligns with client objectives and strategies, facilitating cohesive project execution.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior medical writers to enhance their writing skills and scientific knowledge.

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL

  • Advanced Degree: A master's or PhD in life sciences, medicine, pharmacy, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical writing within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or healthcare sectors.
  • Strong grasp of medical terminology, clinical research/trial science, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in managing writing projects, timelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Familiarity with document management systems, reference management tools (e.g., EndNote), and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in Veeva PromoMats.

PREFERRED

  • Accreditation (e.g., AMWA MWC; ISMPP CMPP).
